Premier Music International Competition Pro
Strictly No AI. This competition is dedicated exclusively to celebrate human creativity, expression, and artistry. Music recorded or generated wholly or in part by artificial intelligence (AI) is strictly prohibited, and our judges do not use AI in any part of the evaluation process!
The 2027 edition (6th annual) will be held in Autumn '27.
PMIC Pro is an online international competition held annually for advanced level music students in higher education and for musicians worldwide.
As the organisers of our sibling PMIC competition, we created PMIC Pro specifically for conservatoire/music academy students and working professionals in order to showcase their musical talents on a global stage.
We invite musicians of at least 18 years of age with no age limit imposed to participate - candidates are categorised based on instrument family and experience.
The competition is open to all traditional orchestral and jazz instruments - strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass), plucked (harp, guitar, lute etc), keyboard (piano, organ, harpsichord), percussion (both melodic and rhythmic, drum kit/set), woodwinds (flute, oboe, saxophone, clarinet, cor Anglais, bassoon, recorder), brass (trumpet, French horn, trombone), and voice, including vocal ensemble- in classical and jazz / popular music genres.
In addition, there is a composition / songwriting and chamber music / band category as well.
PMIC Pro is a completely self-funded and independent venture created without any national or international organisations or actors.
This is a forward-thinking and transparent competition that provides valuable insight through detailed written feedback from the jury panel where each judge makes their decisions remotely and independently without input from anyone else.
We are also proud to enforce a uniquely strict rule that none of the judges' students may enter!
Musicians who do not have access to Youtube or Vimeo can simply upload their videos/entry material to: https://dbmastering.eu/upload-.html
The 2027 competition will be open in the Autumn.
